Obviously, only brands of a certain category will get through our sharp selection process. Not sure, Bendicks, it’ll be your turn after what I’ve read about you in internet a few weeks ago. Seems some hooligan managed to pick your logo. Well, happily you didn’t loose mint chocolates in the process, as many others …
Good news!

Hoping you’ve read already about your next possible membership to our Club, and while the hooligan design is already on the table, and leather stamped logos materialize themselves in hand made computer designs, we have the pleasure to announce the acceptation of our logo by the Presidence, which is one and solely Juan Fernando Paredes. Two rooms have been put to the disposition of the Club, where not only you get a picture with a hat of exclusive design (the kind 2000 usd in Paris), but you get your special card as member for the ridiculous sum of 20 Usd. The large advantages of your membership will be specified in short. People having left their address in El Barranco, will soon be notified, although it will take a certain time to get through the thousands and thousands.
People otherwise interested will have to wait for a few days until the legal situation is absolutely clarified and the exchange with abroad allowed through securized bank accounts. If you become too nervous, just take the next plane and sit down for a coffee and a chat. Will do you some good!
*Although it has already been suspected that we have picked our logo from internet or even … the Queen of England, we may assure that we have in our hands the whole creation process deriving from a Panama Hat picture of our own, and it has neither been exhanged for 5 usd nor stolen to a handsome beauty. Other whispers and voices do of course pretend it were the new Inès de la Fressange logo, who’d be sponsoring our Club without having yet … a Panama Hat! Basse classe rumours of course. In short, much more…
Ah! Here a little dishonest proposal to Inés de la Fressange to move her kindly in order to become member of our club. With special card, of course!

This section will seriously and with proofs play the role of the Greek Choir (called feed back in our contemporary world) hand scanning visitors comments.
If you drive things so far so as to want to verify whether we have left the worse outside, don’t mind visiting us. You’ll certainly be right.

In a few days the town of Cuenca will organize an international cooking event. You’re kindly invited.
Although it is true that Ecuadorian have some tendency to criticism which desperately turns to self criticism, we kindly request to keep more British or French manners for the occasion.

ever trust us!
Although it is an evidence that some of our tips, starting probably with the extremely complicated and sophisticated explanation of how the Panama Hat should be put on your head, are certainly the result of hundreds and hundreds of years of experience both in manufacturing and in the social dealing with these wonderful objects, it is obvious that our cruel and almost inhuman tendency towards humour may some times make an obvious mistake appear on the tip of our tongue.
Experience is the best master. Just … try it out, and be careful the pearl does not disappear in a glass of champagne!
First tip: do never wear a Panama Hat if it is raining!!
Send it in …

Send in your Panama hat pictures, by itself, with you, your pets or flowers, or other ideas that may help to generate a new Panama image. After a long and detailed selection process, considering both inner and outer criteria, we’ll offer a Panama hat of your choice to the winner, who will be determined this year, October 8th, profiting of the celebration of the 450 years of the establishment of the town of Cuenca (1557 – 2007) and the century of our company.
